Hostile Takeover Privacy Policy
Effective date: [to be added]
Hostile Takeover is made by Strange Matter Studio LLC ("we", "us"), an Illinois company. This policy explains what the game does with information about you. The short version: it collects nothing.
What the game collects
Nothing. This version of Hostile Takeover is single player. It has no accounts, no ads, no in-app purchases, no analytics and no online features. The rival bases you raid, and the raiders that attack your base while you're away, are simulated on your device, not other players. The game doesn't send any information about you or your device to us or to anyone else.
What stays on your device
The game saves your base, crew, research, campaign progress, replays and settings on your device so you can pick up where you left off. Upgrades and simulated raids that happen while you're away use your device's clock. That save never leaves your device, and we can't see it. It's deleted when you delete the game. On some devices your system backup (iCloud or Google) may include it, under Apple's or Google's own policies.
Permissions
The game asks for no permissions. It doesn't use your location, camera, microphone, contacts or photos, and it sends no notifications.
Apple and Google
You download the game from the App Store or Google Play, and those stores handle the download under their own privacy policies. If you've chosen to share analytics with app developers in your device settings, Apple or Google may send us anonymous crash reports and usage statistics. These reports don't identify you, and we use them only to fix problems.
Children
The game is made for a general audience and collects no personal information from anyone, children included.
Changes
If a future version adds online play or anything else that collects information, we'll update this policy first, with a new effective date, and the store listing will show the change.
